5 Activities for Couples to Bring You Closer Together
Do a Personality test
Completing a personality test and sharing your results can help you understand each other in a new light. Some personality test options include the Enneagram, Myers-Briggs (MBTI), and Love Languages. You can also download an app like Dimensional to do a bunch of tests at once.
Do a Values exercise
Start with a sheet that contains a long list of different values. You can often find these with a quick Google search. Circle the values that speak to you, then gradually cross them off until you're left with 3-5. Share your top values with each other, talk about what they mean, and explore ways to honor both in your relationship.
Set Couple's Goals
The One Thing has an excellent system for helping couples explore their aspirations, and set goals together. You can check out The One Thing's free community resources for some guides. You can even take it a step further by joining one of their couple's retreats.
Ideal Day/Week exercise
Set a timer for 10 minutes and write about your ideal day/week. Where are you? What are you doing? How does it feel? Once you're done, share your ideal days with each other. Talk about how you can make each of your ideal days a reality, either on a special outing, or in everyday life.
Do Vision Boards
Take some time to vision board. You can use image from Pinterest, Google, or even magazines and newspapers you have around the house. Incorporate photos, quotes, and anything that speaks to you. Share your vision boards with each other.
